Yeah. We know. HOW Design Live 2020 is going to be very different. But that makes it no less awesome—and we’ve built what we believe is a truly incredible virtual design event, and one that will retain the signature sense of connection and community that we’re known for.
Every year we send a “How to HOW” email to attendees spotlighting not only logistics, but some can’t-miss happenings and sessions—and while COVID has disrupted a lot in 2020, we’re not going to let it disrupt that tradition, too.
Here’s a look at all the HOW goodness that awaits you Nov. 10–12!
The Official Social Cause
One of my FAVORITE things about HOW Design Live and our incredible community of creatives is our annual partnership and support of an official social cause. This year we’re partnering with CreativeSpirit-us.org – a non-profit organization devoted to creating integrated employment opportunities for neuro-diverse employees. I love what they’re doing and know you’ll want to join me in this awesome opportunity to support #hiredifferent – What’s more creative than being different?
Sessions! Sessions Galore!
Breaking out of creative ruts. Discovering logo trends. Finding balance. Progressing in your career as an introvert. Our signature sessions are the lifeblood of the conference, and where you’ll walk away with pages and pages of notes, tips, tricks and design inspiration that’ll have you walking back into your office—virtual or real—newly refreshed, and ready to rock your next career challenge.

The Exhibit Hall!
Just because we’ve gone virtual doesn’t mean we’re going to skip one of our attendees’ favorite parts of the whole event: The Exhibit Hall. This year, we’ve curated a digital experience that opens at 8 a.m. on Nov. 10, where you can drop by the many “booths” to see what cutting-edge coolness our exhibitors are cooking up, some of which may just become your next design mainstay. And this being the Exhibit Hall, expect virtual swag.
Networking
Sure, there will be a lot less hand-shaking this year. But we’re also not letting our new virtual platform get in the way of our event’s signature networking. From the beloved HOW Connection to a special networking reception and networking breaks sponsored by Mailchimp, we may not be able to dole out the usual drink tickets, but we highly encourage you to pour yourself a libation of your choice and meet your next design BFF, colleague or boss.
Yeah, things are different this year—but we’re not letting that stop the magic that is HOW Design Live. We just had to figure out HOW to do it all in the spirit of our show—and we can’t wait to share with you how we’ve done just that.
